Our projects provide an atmosphere for new and lasting business relationships as well as friendships.
Alberta Dance Festival:
This annual event is held each May at the Horowitz Theatre at the University of Alberta. Participants aged 5 and up dance for professional adjudication and awards, which includes up to $10,000 in scholarships. This event attracts upwards of 2000 dancers and teachers from across Western Canada and is one of the longest running and established Festivals in Canada.
Entandem: (SOCAN & Re:Sound)
Entandem is a joint venture between RE:SOUND and SOCAN, created to simplify the licensing process to play your choice of music legally and ethically, ensuring that those who made the music are compensated.
The Alberta Dance Educators, along with numerous other national dance organizations, entered into a confidential rate agreement with Entandem for Re:Sound and SOCAN fees. All studio owners who are members of the Alberta Dance Educators Association are expected to comply with the agreement and pay Re:Sound licensing fees. All members of the Alberta Dance Educators Association are expected to pay SOCAN fees. These fees are paid through Entandem, the umbrella organization for both Re:Sound and SOCAN.
Further information regarding remittance of SOCAN fees will be available once Entandem has finalized the information with the ADEA.
