Entandem (SOCAN & Re:Sound)

Entandem is a joint venture between RE:SOUND and SOCAN, created to simplify the licensing process to play your choice of music legally and ethically, ensuring that those who made the music are compensated.

The Alberta Dance Educators Association, along with several other national dance organizations, has entered into a rate agreement with Entandem for Re:Sound and SOCAN licensing fees. All studio owners who are members of the Alberta Dance Educators Association are required to comply with this agreement and pay Re:Sound licensing fees. Likewise, all teaching members are required to pay SOCAN fees. These payments are administered through Entandem, the collective organization that manages both Re:Sound and SOCAN.
